SketchUp 3D Basecamp is a biennial user conference where people who love the program go to meet, learn and get inspired.
This is an interactive fun week of break out sessions and live demo training that brings together a unique group of talented people from around the world who are ready to learn and engage. Participants share their diverse backgrounds in architecture, interior design, construction, woodworking, landscape architecture, entertainment and concept art, plus, their passion for SketchUp.
It’s not all work at 3D Basecamp, in the middle of the week, SketchUp threw a party for all attendees called “Desert Glow-Party in the Palms” that rivaled major music festivals in entertainment and visual arts.
To bring the event visually to life, Proctor developed the keynote stage set that included wild and fun seating options, all conference wayfinding signage showcasing SketchUp’s famous “standees” as well as an entire participant driven art gallery. Dimensional pieces were created such as the huge 3DBC letters that anchored the conference entry and a giant 10’x10’x10′ lighted logo that was a showcase piece for the entire event.
This was an exciting project for Proctor to be involved in, and we’re proud to say that 3DBC has doubled in size after each event and there are major plans already in the works for 2020.
